While fears grow on the whereabouts of the girls, the Croydon Advertiser reported that they told their parents they were sleeping over at each other’s houses. The police were however contacted on Tuesday afternoon (August 7), after both sets of parents realized that their daughters weren’t where they said they would be.  Friends Jayden Hassan and J’Nea Beecher, both aged 14, were last seen leaving J’Nea’s house in Nunhead, South London on Monday, August 6, at about 4pm.

The Metropolitan Police are investigating their disappearance and believe the two girls are likely to be together. Officers believe they may be in the Essex area. Jayden is described as white, 5ft 4 ins tall with green/blue eyes and curly frizzy shoulder length hair.

She has a little silver nose ring and was last seen wearing a white crop top, denim blue jean shorts, a yellow/orange cropped jumper with a black strip down each arm and black pumps with white soles.

Speaking to the News, Jayden’s mum Terrie Mulholland, 36, said:

“She was happy and excited when she left.

“Someone said they saw her at Teen Fest, but then several other people said they heard the girls were going to Essex to meet with some boys they were speaking to.

“Jayden’s a teenager – she’s not perfect, but she’s not a runaway.

“This has never happened, it’s just totally out of character.

“If they see this I just need them to come home. They won’t be in any trouble – even if they just get in contact to let us know they are safe.”

J’Nea’s mum Samantha Brown, 46, added:

“We love her very much and we just want her back home.”

J’Nea is described as black, 5ft 11ins tall of slim build. She has natural afro shoulder length black hair and was wearing a white camisole top, pink shorts with rips and black trainers. Police are asking anyone who knows the current whereabouts of Jayden and J’Nea to call police on 101.
